It’s rather chilly west of the Mississippi with a cold front holding back an unseasonably cool late-March Canadian airmass. Temperatures in the Midwest are only in the 20s at best including a blustery Minneapolis. The front has made it through St. Louis into the 40s. Actual warmth remains confined to South Texas, New Orleans, and mainly Florida — in the 80s.
Compared to climatology for this hour/day, the Lower 48 is -8.5°F below normal.
