Tropical Storm Bertha (02L) center of circulation made landfall on the eastern side of St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, around 2 pm CT.
The center is inland over Louisiana but heavy showers are firing into the “diurnal” maximum of convection in the Gulf. That impressive blob will move into Texas and may provide some locally heavy rain 2”-4”. Bertha will then weaken and likely become a remnant low on Thursday.
