Overall, the next 2-weeks will average out very warm across the Central U.S. from Texas into Canada. However, the period of 15-days will be front loaded with exceptional cold in Florida and the Mid-Atlantic + southern New England such that any warming from Feb 11-17 is outweighed considerably. This shows just how intense the upcoming Arctic blast will be this weekend — and having several days -25°F below normal vs. days at 5°F above normal won’t get you above par! ECMWF EPS flagship temperature anomaly (averaged next 15-days):
A mini-blast of cold Canadian air dips again through South Florida — not as brutally cold as last weekend, but again, chilly!
