(1) Hurricane Idalia made landfall in Taylor County, Florida before 8 AM Wednesday morning at 949 mb central pressure and 110-knot (125-mph) winds or Category 3. During the overnight hours, Idalia rapidly intensified to 115-knots at its peak around 07-09Z and then weakened to 110-knots just before landfall. The lowest central pressure was 944 mb. The satellite image is at maximum intensity and almost perfectly matched the ADT from U Wisconsin:
