Tropical Storm Fernand (06L) is the only show in town but will merge with a frontal boundary and become post-tropical soon.
Ensembles showing signs of life in the 10-14 day range as tropical waves from Africa find a more hospitable MDR for development. The negative environmental factors (upper-level troughs) will move away and vertical wind shear will decrease allowing for tropical storm formation.
