Hurricane Erin had a fabulous day out in the western Atlantic over the Gulf Stream waters with vigorous inner-core redevelopment. However, the inner-core is now be buffeted by wind shear & dry air will soon knock it down. ERIN is growing even more massive with the wind field becoming larger and asymmetric.
Tropical wave off Africa (Invest 99L) still showing sustained convection but time is running out before it apparently degrades into an open wave (40% chance of development) — not sure why NHC doesn’t like it.
