Apocalyptical scene on Maui as wildfires raged through the night early Wednesday and destroyed communities into coastal Lahaina. The fires were fueled by the wind gradient between Hurricane Dora (Category 4) to the south of Hawaii and high pressure to the north. Wind gusts 40-60 mph from the ENE continue today.
