A sprawling area of low-pressure with embedded “tropical depression” like circulation will spin across the Gulf coast and Southeast for the next 5-days, at least.
Today, a surface low pressure (1002 mb) nears landfall in Southeast Louisiana. We’ll see if the convection organizes enough around the center of circulation perhaps to gain a TD designation.
