NOAA has strong bipartisan support and will likely see a budget increase rather than dismantling or whatever is described in Heritage’s Project 2025 blueprint.
The NY Times is among several outlets that are in a frenzy over the potential for Trump’s new NOAA leadership to hide/delete weather and climate data. This is similar to nonsense pushed in late 2016 but unscrupulous folks looking to grift off resistance vibes. NOAA leadership in Trump 2.0 most certainly will not do anything in Project 2025, but instead build upon the wins in the first term, and accelerate weather prediction improvements.
