A taste of fall or maybe even winter into the mid-South as a lobe of the polar vortex rotates through the Great Lakes into the Southeast over the next few days. However, the cold air will be quickly replaced by southerly flow and high pressure ridging. This remains a dry pattern for the much of the Lower 48.
