A series of cut-offs will arrive from Alaska into the Pacific Northwest and off the California coast over the 5-7 day period. While some ridging builds east of the Rockies, there is no heat dome development, so showers and storms with cloud cover can keep temperatures down — as early May could be very hot at times.
